Nutridom's Red Yeast Rice capsules are formulated with rice that has been fermented by red yeast; a medicinal practice that has been used in China for more than a thousand years.

The active ingredients in Red Yeast Rice (RYR) are its pigments monacolins and ankaflavin, and monacolin K, compounds which can block our bodies' natural ability to produce cholesterol. That has also been bolstered with Policosanol, a compound extracted from the waxes in sugar cane or other plants, which can help improve the ratio of good (HDL) to bad (LDL) cholesterol in the blood, and plant sterols, which can help block the absorption of cholesterol and lower LDL levels.
